What We Do

Get Moving Group is a property investment company based in Ontario. We specialise in buying distressed homes, fully renovating them and reselling or renting . This process is commonly known as 'flipping'. We are NOT a typical real estate flipper.  Most flippers priority is to buy cheaply, make some quick superficial improvements to make a quick buck and get out quickly.  We are different - Our first priority is making our clients happy.  We find that the happier we make our clients the better our business does! Our focus is taking pride in the quality of our renovations. Our rule of thumb is to renovate a home to a standard that we would be proud to live in ourselves.  Many of the properties that we buy the owners are glad to get rid of.  Real Estate can be a wonderful asset to own but we know that in certain circumstances can be a millstone for people facing changes in their lives due to health, financial or relationship issues.  We help our clients on both ends of the scale - we relieve sellers of properties that have become burdensome and after working our magic present our buyers with a new home they are excited to move into and proud to own

The Owners

Get Moving Group is owned by Mark & Corinne Jenden-Selway. They emigrated to Canada in 2006 from the UK.  

Mark has a background in Finance and IT working for 'blue chip' companies in the Energy and Financial Services Industries at senior management levels.  He also worked as a Management Consultant for 10 years with one of the 'Big Four' accountancy firms. He has a wide business experience and keeps a good grip on the numbers!

Corinne's background is in sales and design. Having held numerous positions in administration and field sales positions Corinne trained in interior and graphic design in the UK. She ran her own successful interior design business for 10 years before moving to Canada.  She is the design guru behind all the renovation projects the business undertakes.

On arrival in Ontario Mark and Corinne established Lairds Interiors a successful home interiors store and provided interior design services to the surrounding residential and business communities. Get Moving Group grew out of Lairds Interiors and uses Mark and Corinne's skills and experience combined with their network of professional contractors, home furnishing suppliers and real estate agents, lawyers and mortgage brokers.  We apply our combined skills and experience to the properties we and our investment partners own.
